I knew Nate Rob had been on the bench. Since I was only casually keeping up with the situation, what I wasn’t aware of was that he’d missed a total of 14 games over the course of one month due to Coach D’Antoni’s banishment to the pine. Yet, the coach saw fit to finally let the undersized superhero out of the doghouse and Nate was chomping @ the bit to be unleashed. Unfortunately for the Hawks, they were the victims of his pent up frustrations.
Nat’s final stats: 41 points on 18-of-24 FG (3-of-4 3PT and 11 points in the extra frame), with eight assists, six boards and one steal in 38 minutes off the bench in the overtime victory over Atlanta.
Oh yeah, and one extra pretty raindrop near the end to help ice the game.

Nate’s the truth, sometimes. Knicks are a mess and will remain that way…he’s a piece that might convince ‘Bron that they know what they are doing and he’s chillin on the bench. I honestly do not think the Knicks will end up signing any of the blockbuster free agents.
Dominique was slurpin this nigga…ohhhhhh
The common denomenator between the post, youtube, and the comments is no one has said why was he benched for those 14 games? Was it because of him shooting on the wrong goal for kicks awhile back or what???
NATE THE GREAT!!!!

The reason I didn’t mention it is b/c after a mth of him being on the bench, I assumed most were aware of the spat b/w him and D’Antoni. Basically, the coach said he wasn’t serious and was detrimental to the team. The flipside to the coin is that he was the team’s leading scoring and they suck on offense. Go figure.
I watched this game and Nate was killing em. Dude is all heart, which leaves little room for brains lol. Maybe getting benched humbled Nate just a lil’ bit.
But I doubt it lol.
I think he’ll eat humble pie for the time being b/c he’s either gonna get traded before season’s out OR he’ll have to prove himself worthy of being a key component of the Knicks future for them to potentially choose him over the coach.
Then again I could be totally wrong.

Is it me or are the Hawks slumpin’? They were supposed to be that fourth team to watch in the East and in the last few they’ve gotten smashed on by the Cavs twice and now the Knicks.
The Hawks are still missing something from their equation IMO. They’ve got a good nucleus but they still need one veteran, go-to guy.

Gotty, Joe Johnson doesn’t do it for you?
