It’s bad enough that my home state of Massachusetts, a beacon of progressive values, has derailed efforts to provide health care for millions of people for a guy whose main selling point was “I drive a truck.” It’s bad enough that the salt is doubly-rubbed in the wounds of MA Democrats by the fact that this election only happened because State Dems changed the rules on elections several times under the assumption only a Democrat could win.
But, now I find out that we’ve sent a jerkoff and his kin to Washington. Literally.
Ok it’s not technically the three years and out Brown, (although he did have no problem getting naked for Cosmo or offering up his daughters as “available” during his victory speech) but rather his lovely wife Gail Huff. Seems the former local news anchor made a name for herself getting a little too friendly with a suntan lotion bottle in the video for 80′s non-classic Digney Fignus’ “Girl With A Curious Hand.”
Good for a few laughs now, but my shame is slowly setting back in.

Um… His main selling point was not that he drives a truck. It was the fact that he was the 41st vote to ensure a filibuster of the health care bill. I say good for the citizens of Massachusetts for coming together on something they believed in and not just voting the same way they had in the past. I have never seen any type of election that had as much energy and buzz surrounding it as this one. It didn’t hurt that Coakley ran one of the worst campaigns of all time. And yes, I voted for Scott Brown and am very proud of the state I call home.
What pisses me off is how many people are actually against health care overhaul. And of all of these ignorant motherfuckers don’t have any good reason to oppose it other than it is being pushed by Obama. I understand blind loyalty is prevalent on both sides of the aisle in today’s political climate but this shit is a no brainer.
Lol speaking of which, I wonder what your reason is MEFDOC?
It is also my understanding that Coakley ran a sure thing into the ground.
I’m all for it without all the kickbacks and shit. Just a straight forward plan that is transparent. None of the closed door deals like Nebraska getting it 100% covered and the unions not having to pay taxes on their plans. When they get it right and treat EVERYONE the same, I will have no problem with it.
@JohnnyBlaze, I said she sucked and that was a large part of it
I thought Scott Brown’s main selling point was his alleged ability to beat Obama at a game of ball?
“I’m all for it without all the kickbacks and shit.”
Well thought out analysis, that’s a great reason to vote for your man!
Shit I am glad I just moved back to Montreal. Better trees too.
@MEFDOC
Not going to happen. That’s politics period. Republican or Democrat, a large chunk of Congress isn’t going to so much as scratch their balls unless there is something in it for them or their constituency.
Now instead of an imperfect, but still functional, overhaul we will likely get nothing.
I can understand not voting for Coakley based off of questionable competence but in the big picture America just took a huge L.
Anyways let me get off my soapbox.
@Skirz Same Old Place 4 life.
@MEFDOC Sounds like you had your own legit reasons for voting how you did, but I do think you’re being naive if you think we’ll get a better bill. The Republicans are taking a non-cooperation strategy, so its pretty much the Senate bill as is, or nothing.
it makes sense because your state sucks! Fuck Massachusetts fuck em
yeah, i dont know about fuck ‘em but mass. is a the closest we have to a communist state. let me have my guns.
surprising that a guy named loveman15 doesnt like mass.
anyways, coakley is one cold hearted bitch and her supporters dont help. on the other hand, brown isnt a good guy either…it wont take long for people to find that out.

Those daughters can get it.
Laker and Raider fan thats why fuck the pats and celts
You think his main selling point was that he owns a truck? You’re an idiot.
im not a dem. rep. or anything…not even ind. i say that to say this….rep. are mad because they feel like they had no input in the logistics and specifics of the medical bill…..which all sides considered, some of their ideas were looked over when making the bill…obama is in a rough spot right now cuz he has to fight against a dem. congress…his own party if he beconmes to “center” and he is of coarse fighting rep….but i was not supprised by the outcome of his first year in office….i told ppl thereis no such thing as partisan blind or bipartisanship because both parties have their own agenda and in the end the opposition to the health care bill from at leas tthe rep. stand point is do to structural racism, political agendas, and the muthafuck of em all…MONEY$$$$$
Skriz is right though that was a election of who the voters deemed lesser of two evils in my opinion….they couldnt think he was that good of a guy…dude tried to pimp his daughters out at the end of his speach
So Mrs. Huff likes to play with her MUFF. lol
Since when do liberal think handjobs and character are relevant to each other? Last time I checked, liberals told me it was ok to be blown while in your office and on the clock. So the wife of a republican was in a suggestive video and that is a scandal?
But this is classic: Now instead of an imperfect, but still functional, overhaul we will likely get nothing.
That’s right. You get nothing. Other than medicare, medicaid, mandatory treatment rules in ERs, prescripbtion drug plans, state health insurance in some states (like Mass) and the opportunity to get insurance from a job or pay for health care/insurance your own damn self. That’s some kind of nothing.
Does anyone recognize the fact that Brown actually has a sense of humor? I mean, I don’t like Biden, but even I recognize that many of his idiotic quotes (politically especially) were just a man having a sense a humor in a humorless political world.
