I can post a Mikkey track and know that it may only get a handful of responses. But it’s tracks like “My Lifetime…” that keep me with my rally cap turned to the back in support of the UnCrowned King. Still haven’t listened to his material or looking for a parallel? The wordplay & poetic sensibilities reminiscent of Illmatic Nas mixed with the attention to graphic details akin to Ice Cube as well as the vocal presence of oft-forgotten Geto Boy Big Mike. Not one to waste a beat, I can’t really say I’ve heard a song that was a throwaway from Halsted because you can sense a quiet desperation and passion with each line.
Like the man says, this is his life.

Baby & Slim are stupid for never releasing his Cash Money album. J.D. is too for not doing anything with him on Virgin. I know he didnt want to go to roc-a-fella but he shoulda he mighta had an album or twom out by now.
never knew he had any previously dealings w/the Roc. not sure if that’s a good fit or not either. Hell, i don’t know what label/distribution deal fits artists like him & Gibbs but maybe they should try the Asylum route like Pill.
It’s a dope track but Mikkey posted on his Twitter last night that it’s unfinished & got unproperly leaked! Mikkey is a dope but unproperly marketed MC to! Don’t think he had any deal on the table with thhe ROC either you may be thinking he did because Kanye used to fuck with Mik real hard in the beginning & got him his deal with Cash Money! From what I understand he hasn’t really much since then though!
Mikkey delivers as usual. Its a shame someone with his talent and consistency can’t get a release on a major.
Mikkey is amazing at what he does. I feel like he’s just a writer who happens to speak over percussion.
Damn those first few bars really ring true.
