Who says Timbaland’s saving all the good beats for himself?
What was once probably a potential single for The Material Girl’s last album, the Justin Timberlake-assisted “Across The Sky” wound up collecting cobwebs in Madonna’s vajayjay vocal vaults and has now resurfaced for really no reason at all. On second thought, maybe Timbo leaked this polysonic piece of Hard Candy to save the naysayers some much needed breathing.
Instead of letting this fall to the wayside, though, someone should have told Bubba Sparxxx to stop tending to the chickens so he could have used this beat properly. It’s right up his dirt alley.

That beat is just silly…Take Madonna off, Leave JT and give him a verse, add Bubba…BOOM. That guitar actually sounds like it was sampled from Deliverance.

This sounds like they had to put her butt in another room in the another wing of the building then filter the hell out of it just to be able to tolerate putting this thing together.
yeah Delivrance inspiration. conscious or not. but sure this sound like that. of course. good beat btw. a great rapper can kill this. but timbo is done with the hiphop, sad.

She’s not the best singer for sure, but people who say something like this have no clue about pop and deep down they are only jealous of her success… admit it.
This song is pretty good. Easy, good beat and great harmonies between JT and madonna. Overall a good effort.
Madonna’s lyrics and vocals are too strong for this. I think there is a reason why she didn’t release it as is. It could be worked much better. She’s a machine-she won’t stop and I think some of us half her age even need to step up and see we are capable of alot more than what we do. She is Pop Royalty. She is ‘The Queen’ if we love or hate her.
I think her vocals should be more forward front. Timbaland is so predictable. Maddy has this track tucked away somewhere for future use. Nice lyrics. I am really not sure why people and critics find wrong in good intention. Its kinda boring. Madonna is more punk rock in a strange way then mainstream culture likes to think. She is opposite of whatever mainstream wants her to be. But have to agree, she is pop’s royalty.
This is a great song. Thanks for posting it! Pity Timbaland sees fit to keep repeating “freaky, freaky” in the background. He should be shot.
The song isn’t so bad, but I hear too much bass. My girlfriend brought me to a Madonna concert {Sticky & Sweet} and I was hesitant, but thought to myself, this is the Queen of Pop, and her tours are always global hits and legendary so let me see her LIVE at least once in my lifetime. Damn am I glad I went! She was amazing and will agree with the poster before my post….she is POP ROYALTY!!!! I’ve been to most major artist’s shows and play many instruments myself, but I was so impressed with Madonna’s performances and voice and guitar playing, ot to mention jump roping! The tour I saw with my girlfriend grossed a record breaking total of $408 million dollars!!!! WOW!!!!!! To think I had the chance to see the highest grossing tour by a solo artist, who also happens to be a legend is amazing!!!!! Never saw such a fun and cool crowd also!!!!!! Would love to see Madonna again!!!!!!
