Taking it to be just usual rapper boasts, I really didn’t think Boosie could fulfill the claim of releasing new material weekly while he was away on a fed-sponsored vacation. Surprisingly, he’s done it (or rather, his team has). What’s even better is that most of the tracks haven’t been complete throwaways, most proving to be archive worthy.
“Where Would I Be” sports a wailing gospel-tinged sample that brings Boosie’s reflective lyrics together with an uptempo bass line. As usual, Baton Rouge plays the antagonist, fueling the artist’s ability to paint the picture of Torrence Hatch’s past that helped to shape his present.
