Less than 24 hours from the ruminative street single, HHDX breaks out the official single for the Distant Relatives a.k.a. Nasty Nas & Jr. Gong Marley.
Picking up the pace, the cousins feed off each other’s verses with increasing energy on every lyric. From the sound of things thus far, the project is shaping up to be one of the more well-rounded and enjoyable albums of the year.

I don’t want to get my expectations to high, because usually these cross collabo albums ain’t all that.
However, Distant Relatives of what I have heard thus far certainly gets the thumbs up.
check the tracklist: steevie wonder, joss stone, knaan, erikah badu, snoop dogg. THIS ALBUM WILL BE HUGE. now i hope a commercial success too…
this cover is damn surely not the real because nas’ pic is from god’s son shooting photo session. and jr gong probably from welcome to jamrock sessions. but a real good fan artwork to promote it.

better than that low streaming. i want to see that conference…
Is Gruems speaking better english or are we becoming fluent in Gruemsese?
Nas will find a way to get Chris Webber type beats on the album.

LOL Blunt Ashes was dope though.
^
Nas beats are dope. yes
…
BUT THEY WOULD CAN BE DOPER. yeah
cuz of his amazing lyrical/flow talent
@MZ… so I’m not the only one that noticed, lol.
RMF…
Also just wondering if anyone remembers a reggae artist by the name of Tiger? Would of came out around the same time as Mad Lion (’93-’94?). I remember he had at least one single & video. Remember seeing it on Video Music Box back in the day. What I’d like to find is the remix to that track, only heard it once on either The Awesome Two or Mr. Magic & Mr.Cee. Not sure if it was an exclusive mix, but I never heard it anywhere else. The tape it was on is lost somewhere in time. I know I could probably google it, but everything sort just came back to me right now and I figured I’d ask.
flow like style,
speaks in every language ;
and if u don’t know, now u know niggreums!

Tony Henry is on Facebook. Please give him a quick shout on your page and let’s get him some friends.
He’s looking for writer’s and producers for his album. Thanks Gotty
We don’t write songs or produce music…., but you can big him up in the comments.
@ A.V. – Tiger is a dancehall legend from the eighties … he had a bike accident around 93 and was never the same. He had a couple cross over (Hip hop style) songs in the 90′s but I can’t remember any specific off the top of my head.
Hoping that this NaS Damian Marley album gets the acclaim and commercial success it deserves. Great so far!
The beat is better than your usual Nas beat but still not dope at all.
Also Nas spits fire on that.
Lovely. Gonna be a sick project.
this song iz just crazy
dope remix as well
i love that !
i am so fucking pumped for this album
I can’t wait for distant relatives, I have been following the build up at this web site, Nas himself endorses it on his Twitter page.
