Over the years, The World Famous Wake-Up Show has had it’s fair share of superstars grace their opening intros, which are now known simply as ‘Anthems.’ Before and during their rise to celebrity, notably gifted MCs such as Nas, Eminem, KRS-1, Kool G Rap, Ras Kass, Tech N9ne and Xzibit – to name a very few – have at one time all graced the LA-based studio that Sway and Tech have turned into the Sistine Chapel of rap.
Produced by co-host/beatmiser King Tech, “Anthem 2010″ finds some of today’s most sought-after and renown talent assembled to form an updated lyrical Dream Team to keep the legend alive.

I find it really hard to believe that people don’t talk shit behind Sway’s back with the “breaking news” he did at MTV.
He probably gets the dutchie passed to him last.
why would people talk shit to him? it was a job. mtv prolly paid better then on air voice at kmel.
Exactly why KMEL is boycotted. You can’t do a wake up show anthem with only one local artist.
It would be nice if they do another great video.

there will be a video, pretty sure.
@ Terrail
maybe I’m missing something but aren’t Locksmith, Crooked I, Tajai, Ras Kass and B-Real all west coast artists? Or maybe I misunderstood by what you meant by local artists.
‘like the washington monument, I’m just one tall phallus’
Rass Kass kills it again!
Anyone remember the ’94 Wake Up Show Anthem for 92.3 The Beat in LA? Who was the emcee that went in-between Shyheim and Saafir? After all these years, I still haven’t figured it out.
@outkasted
kmel is a bay area station. Where the wake up show was hosted and then syndicated. Think he meant that they should put bay area emcees on the songs
Tech N9Ne just did some really nasty things on this track.
I might hafta go back and dig up my old wakeup complitations… i paid cash for Vols 1-8 plus THIS OR THAT so i don’t feel bad if I end up DL’ing ‘em all this time around.
@outKasted
You are correct my friend, but Crooked I & B-Real are from So-Cal. NorCal and SoCal are like two different planets.
@DJ Tanner I believe it is Saul Williams.
