These quakes must have shaken some sincerity into Crooked I, because instead of dropping another punchline-polluted throwaway, the LBC vet stepped up to the plate and delivered a phenomenal song (yes, an actual song…that he wrote down on paper) touching on the never-ending ills of every society on this crumbling planet we call home.

It seems as if he beat-jacked some Pop-Tart named Sally Anthony, but we should all be thankful. People are always so up in arms about why some of these lyrical rappers can’t sell, well…it’s because they don’t make enough songs like this. Heartfelt. Meaningful. Positive. Thought-provoking. Songs with crossover appeal that actually speak to the people, instead of threatening them or making ‘em feel inferior.

Songs everyone can appreciate.

A lot of these misguided and misleading rappers could stand to grab a pen and take notes.
