Since deck shoes emerged as an “in” item over the past few seasons, it was to be expected that they’d take on enhanced versions that would catch the eye of the unsuspecting. Count me in those who wasn’t expecting but finds myself liking this collaboration between 3Sixteen and handmade design kingpins Quoddy. Sharply done in chromexcel leather in navy and comes with white leather laces.
Available @ Bows & Arrows

i’m not 100% sure why but i’m digging these right here:

and a word to the wise on the foamdome boots go up a 1/2 size they are snug as hell.
i’m firmly against the use of pony hair on shoes, no PETA lol.
terribly faggy imo…
nah they’re nice fam. just gotta have a little style to pull them off. never said I was tucking my shirt in so i could wear them lol. google the history Quoddy and the particular leather used, then get back to me.
Plus, I’m getting a little tired of sneakers. I need options in the closet.
my savage beast af1′s would like a word with you Gotty…
and hell if they were smarter animals they would avoid the traps… i’m just doing darwin a favor and proving him right.
No sign on that pony hair shit.
Palladium Boots – I just need to click the buy button.

I’m looking for the perfect boot. I’ve been contemplating a post regarding it.
I got the navy Pome’s on the way finally.
Maybe I’ll wait on the post before I make a decision. Apparently, boots never go on sale, so I gotta make my next purchase my best purchase…
Gotta agree with you Gotty..
Especially with groups like Clae and Gourmet (who’s “Jordans” inspiration is no secret), the shoe game has never been crazier. Sneaks are all well and good, but I’m glad to see that people are taking the innovative structural concepts of sneakers and merging those with elements of design. The result is me looking fly as hell, yet keeping it comfy while rocking shits like these:

Feet never felt so fine.. I asked for the gray ones, but I’m glad the fam hooked it up with the proper color.
Another thing.. The good thing about people reaching for a higher standard for their footwear is that even with the sneaks, we’re getting something more, case&point:

Ridiculous. Kevlar on the kicks? http://cdn.mymajicdc.com/files//2009/08/bill-cosby-silly-face.jpg
yeah, i threw MT’s joints in the Smoke Break the other day. Those joints need to be seen by all b/c those are sickness.
if you keep up w/Gilt, they had a lot of Gourmets on sale for dumb cheap (we’re talking $28-65).
Plus, I need variation. If I’m wearing sweaters and shit right now, I don’t want to wear sneakers. In the summer, 9 out of 10x, I’m wearing sneakers but on that rare day I want to switch up a little, I want some variance that still has a sense of style to it. Those 3six’s do that for me for some odd reason and I’m not a huge fan of the Sperry/deck shoes movement. They look well and good on others but not necc my steez. Those rock though.
i saw some nice Gourmets the other day. I’ll see if I can find a link.
Deen, don’t wait on me lol. I was browsing this the other day. Only ones that caught my eye were the Cole Haan joints. I love the contrasting materials. There’s a pair of Timbs made just like that, 7 eyelets chukkas…I just gotta find those shits.

Showed my girl these, she shook her head and walked out.
^ you should leave her. she doesn’t want you to look better than her & that’s some selfish shit.
Thanks Gotty.
BC – don’t hold it against your girl. You shouldn’t look better than her. Gotty trippin. None…
fresh post & good comments. I like the suggestions being made for footwear.
These joints are dope imo b/c the keep the design aesthetic for boat shoes & update it w/o completely overhauling it. While it’s too soon to call these instant classics, I can def see these lasting for several seasons, and that’s what I’m looking for when I make investments in my attire purchases: some long-lasting next shit w/ understated flavor & quality craftsmanship.
