Maybe I’m alone but listening to Missy and Timbaland’s songs are all about who’s featured on the track. Both artists are talented musicians and create hits, but their music is a wee too bland for my consumption. It always takes something extra to convince me to add any of their tracks to my listening rotation. Unfortunately for Missy, this Wayne feature doesn’t do much for me and, even though this version is quite unfinished, I don’t think a final product is going to do much to change that. Mentally, anytime I hear Missy rhyming about relationships and attraction beside one of her male rap counterparts, I always feel like they’re in competition for the affections of the same chick.
Anyways, Missy’s got a new album entitled Block Party that will be hitting shelves soon so…yeah, expect to hear a lot of rah-rah talk about her and it over the coming months.

That said, that whole crew was the first bunch to encourage me to enjoy rap solely for the beat and flow, as opposed to lyrics and delivery…

Missy and Timberland are perfect examples of producer/ songwriters that need to stay in the background.
