If you don’t want to stay, you can leave. I hate when these fools treat the genre as if it’s a stepping stone to other shit. That may be true, but you lose my respect if you ever let those words outta ya mouf. It’s one thing to not be hot in the genre anymore, it’s a whole other thing to front as if you’ve moved beyond it.

As far as Timothy is concerned… dude has not listened to Hip-Hop for a spell now. On the real. He has been bumping nothing but alternative for years now (we are talking a good decade or longer).
But…
He is fooling himself if he thinks that he is anything more than a Hip-Hop/R&B producer TRYING to produce other genres. Timbo… I hope he comes across this because he knows how to reach me and I will say this all day long…
His attempts at Rock, Alternative, etc… sound like a Hip-Hop/R&B producer TRYING to produce Rock, Alternative, etc. It is far from authentic because Timbo did not grow up on those genres.
Rick Rubin? That dude can jump to ANY genre and it be authentic.

Timbo has truly dropped the ball in terms of quality control in the last 5 years. He used to be the best producer in hip-hop circa-2000ish. Now he’s making songs with Miley Cyrus and Jojo. And he makes faces like he’s combatting with a shit too large for his arsehole.
