When I initially mentioned this song in October, the future impact of the record was basically a given. It was the perfect song heading into the winter, and while it wasn’t going to threaten to take the top spot on the Billboard charts, Rob certainly had an anthem on his hands.
Naturally, if it was a hot R&B record, a remix was soon to surface. I’m just surprised it took this long. On the aforementioned post, I suggested Maxwell would serve as a viable candidate. Stupid me, how could I not to think of Ludacris? As a rapper who has made a career partially crafting lyrics filled with sexual innuendo, this only makes sense.

Maxwell would have been the right choice. Luda’s verses weren’t wack; but you heard them all before. When a remix is done right it brings something new to the song. This didn’t bring anything new to the table. lol
My lady is not a fan of rap but she criticized Luda a few weeks ago lol. “I heard Ludacris on the radio and he was using the same old metaphors and similes and all I could think I was ‘god I’m so tired of this. not again Luda.’” I was shocked and lol’ing @ the same time.
This is just one of those songs which just sound better with another R&B feature.
lol @ Gotty’s lady telling it like it TI Is. Luda is a talented mc; but he is becoming a 1 trick pony.
Ludacris and Busta Rhymes are similar in my opinion, there last cpl albums have no replay value and they don’t really say anything, they used to kill remixes and now they just spit about the same shit I’ve heard them do 50 times before…
maxwell is too evolved for something like this i was thinking r kelly, now he would have made this song an audio porno
ludas does way to many raps using similes involving water.
Interesting, just what l was looking for, excellent blog anyhow, bookmarked.
