I was ready to write off Rebirth before this rock-esque track surfaced. Even though it will probably get a ton of spins in its own right, it’s been damn near a year since “Prom Queen” leaked and so it wouldn’t too far off base to assume the project would never see the light of day. That belief was furthered after they decided not to bundle the release with We Are Young Money.
Surely Universal wouldn’t let a track with Eminem was destined to languish in cyberspace, right? This has piqued my interest again & that’s all I need for now. It’s also safe to assume that if the rest of the album sounds like this, Wayne will have a good shot to be as omnipresent in 2010 as he was in 2008.
And for those keeping score at home its Eminem: 2, Lil’ Wayne: 0.

Hip-Hop quote of the day.
So.. is anyone NOT looking forward to Relapse 2 now?
When was this recorded?
Yeah…
This works.
That white guy can really rap.
I thought it was close on this song. Em’s verse seemed a little too similar to “Forever.” This is still hot.
Eminem Murdered You On Your Own Shit © Nas
Yep….Relapse 2 is gonna be copped from ol Celly Cell
i wonder how log it took the police to arrest Em after murdering Wayne ! hahahaha lol…. that whte boi is completely outta here
So I guess we can add Wayne to the Renegade list??
Eminem Murdered You On Your Own Shit © Nas
Yep the white boy can rap!
dope track, Em killed it. But I don’t think he murdered Wayne on this.
I won’t say he killed Wayne because I think he held his own. It’s more of a Pusha T vs. Malice comparison because Em’s flow took his words up a notch.
Lil Wayne won that shit…what the hell yall talking bout
Lil Wayne won that shit…what the hell yall talking bout
====================================================
I wouldn’t say that…but it was close.
This is another reason TIP is better than Wayne and is a shame his name isnt mentioned more in these best alive debates. Go back to the Ti vs TIP album and listen to Touchdown, Tip killed Em on it then turned around and murdered Jay, Wayne, and Kanye on SLU….. Just Saying and Papertrail > C3
Em’s verse definitely had a feeling similar to what he did on “Forever”, but he still switched things up moreso than usual. Between having some of the tightest guest verses of the year, AND one of the biggest selling albums of the year, anyone saying Em has fallen off needs to fall of a cliff, themselves.
You cant help but respect Eminems skill yo. I downloaded this shit an hour ago and its been on repeat on my itunes since.
“I won’t say he killed Wayne because I think he held his own.”
Guest spot massacres happen not because of how good or bad you spit but how MUCH better the features verse is. Jay on Renegade was nice, I mean he didnt come weak at all, 8/10. But Em verse… 12/10. This cut Wayne 6/10 Em 8/10. And he had two verses
king blair
The problem with T.I. is that he makes some of the most disposable and forgettable music. T.I. VS TIP is fresh produce, its great initially but after a few weeks its like, “I’m still eating this”
But you’re right though, Ems verse on Touchdown was one of the worse in history.But I think that one was more Em dropping the ball then T.I. slaughtering him. But He didnt murder Jay on that, I dont know what you’re talking about with that one.
The problem with T.I. is that he makes some of the most disposable and forgettable music.
======================================================
Huh? Lol disposable & forgettable? I have to disagree there.
But as far as this song is concerned, shout out to my dudes Chase N. Cashe & Hit Boy of The Surf Club for producing this record. Much respect.
Man, it must be only me but, I don’t really care who murdered who. It’s a dope track
I think each had their flaws, and each showed their greatness on the track. Em’s verse sounded kind of recycled, but it doesn’t matter, it was hot, and his energy set the tone.
As a Wayne fan, I’m just glad he said something deep, and he was original. We’ve been missing that.
I say each of them held their own.
Em didn’t murder Wayne, but he won by a hair. (His energy is what has people saying he murdered it; don’t let that fool you, his part was set up for him to come and murder it.)
But in the end, it doesn’t matter. They definitely dropped a gem! Enjoy it!
Sidenote: Everyone seems to hate Weezy, but this is the collabo everyone hasd been waiting for. Funny.
Touchdown sucked. T.I. included
They both killed it & held there own on it! Although Em had a slight edge! This the Wayne we all been waiting for where he’s actually spitting heat again to!
Touchdown sucked. T.I. included
==================================
I liked the beat tho.
R.I.P. wayne. em murdered him, cut him into pieces, and dissolved him in acid
Hurt was the only real song on T.I Vs. T.I.P….
As far as this goes. Em won but not by much. “I got ice in my veins, blood in my eyes/hate in my heart, love on my mind” Weezy came with it.
Hurt was the only real song on T.I Vs. T.I.P….
==================================================
Nah, “Tell Em I Said That”,”Respect This Hustle” & “My Type” were all dope.
first verse sounded quite a bit like CuDi if u ask me
Nah, “Tell Em I Said That”,”Respect This Hustle” & “My Type” were all dope.
==================================================
Very true. “Big Shit Poppin” and “Hurt”…the part that really sucked was the “T.I.” part. Although I did like “Don’t You Wanna Be High.”
But yeah this is simply a pretty damn good record.
gotty says no.
Wasn’t really feeling Em’s flow to tell the truth. Song is real real good.
IDC who sys what this song was tha SHIT
Em AtomIzed hIm !
How Tip make disposable muzic Trap Muzik is classic, King was great and he has consistent good albums. People on Wayne jock but did everyone forget how wack he was for 5 years. All I see is how close Wayne flow matches all his new recruits so I guess he aint writing all his shit from gillie to drake i see a patern. Wayne has never developed a ste he can call his own its always modeled or styled after someone. Tip is better period they been on like 7 tracks together an Tip had the better verses on all. TSS should do a post comparring tbe two woth theor collabs an albums an rate who is better my vote is for Tip
i hate the song. they both sound like shit. can’t stand when em tries to rap fast like he’s southern. it’s corny and embarrassing.
Trap musik is his best by far and even though I dont give that album any burn today, I still give it its due. But other than that, Its 2 weeks to a month then I’m usually down with Mr Harris. He’s not wack don’t get me wrong, he just seems to never have anything that has the depth to sustain his self after the novelty wears off.
Wayne is no better, I think he’s as clever and witty as they come. But if he didnt constantly bombard you with music after music, he wouldnt have maintained his stance like he has. I like em both and they can make some really good tracks but I’m not ready to place either of them on that “great” pedestal yet.
i hate the song. they both sound like shit. can’t stand when em tries to rap fast like he’s southern. it’s corny and embarrassing.

I thought that was a midwestern thing
Wayne needs to stop phoning in verses…fucking weak
Em killed him and the track
I’ve said it once, but it needs to be said again…..
in regards to Em’s verse…..
“Mama, there goes that man!!” ©Mark Jackson
wayne did good
em did good
lets just leave it at that cus they made a great track together
It’s his rock n roll album, so of course Wayne rocked it differently than Em. I actually liked it a lot. You feel the energy in wayne’s voice…and that put the chorus over the top, too.
Then Em ran in the booth, sucker punched Weezy in his gold-toothed grill, stole the fire extinguishers and set the mic booth on fire.
Weezy Collabo.
Check.
come on maaaan why we discussing T.I. with Wayne and Em, Cell is right if T.I. drops a cd and i still care in 3weeks it must REALLY be a
Jay-z cd (not that you’ll ever get the 2 confused lol). Yeah T.I. can out rapp a High Eminem but he’s BOOOOOORIng (big yawn) ok your the King of the South (but Not Really its Scarface) ok you use to trapp(damn lie) ok you’ve been thru alot (who has’nt)So basically you just gon make all those same points forever right? somebody wake me up when TIp retires
The Tip hate in this room is really surprising.
Touchdown sucked. T.I. included
==================================
I liked the beat tho.
===================
yep!, there’s a beat Em rapped on that sounded just like “Touchdown” & he ripped it. I think he had to get that bad taste out his mouth.
em aint kill shyt..u dudes is lame 4even suggestin that…wayne murk this shyt..not to say em didnt but no way he killed wayne…just cuz u flo faster and louder dont make yo verse better…dis shyt real nice…5 starz
This goes into the short list of Wayne songs I actually like. Gotta give credit where credits due – Wayne did a great job and took it in a really different direction. Eminem, you said it best with Wayne-0 Em-1. When he brings it he brings it, just wish he could bring it more on his own albums…
wow listen to the words i got hate in my heat love on my mind means more than what em said at all as much as i love ems flow wayne more witty and an creative and he taught em on this one on the diference between speaking loud and actually sayin something also cosign the hate on TI him and Drake most boring rappers ever
*heart* not heat
Em is just nicer all around…
Anotha Time,
Mally
I like Eminem so much no homo, I wouldn’t mind him using the N word. Nah, real chat. I wouldn’t.
This has by far been my favorite rebirth leak.
i am hoping that when wayne decided a rock fused album was what next was when he started playing some instruments and started realizing he wanted to do singing himself on records and shit, you have to learn all these thing people. anyone who plays an instrument knows that the first 6 months is a painful learning process so what i am eluding too here is that with all this leaked music he’s goin back in to cook up some more shit with a better understanding of the elements he is wanting to work with which should correlate to better tunes.
to paraphrase wayne “repetition is the father of learning i repeat…”
WOW, one of the best tracks I’ve ever heard!!! Eminem is the man, never fails to impress and improve. Wayne is definitely makin a name for himself too. I really like both of them together on a track. Can’t wait for this album to be released now and am so excited for Relapse=Refill in a couple days!!! I’ve been waiting for what seems like forever for this to come out. Keep up the amazing work!
Oh an ps…Tip is sick too man, don’t know why everyone is hating on him. I seriously don’t get the love that everyone in this damn country gives to Jay-z, he’s HORRIBLE!!!! He talks on his “raps” like he’s God or something. I can’t stand his cocky ass. Eminem, Tip, Wayne, and a few more could kill Jay any day of the week in a battle. In-fact I challenge them to it just to prove that Jay is not a rapper at all! And one more thing, Cell Thuropy and Sherm, you guys are crazy, Eminem is the sickest rapper alive and when he get’s to spitting fast nobody can touch him!
wtf he knot even talkn about wayne
wayne is the motherfukn best because he is so versitile n and most his shit freestyles wayne has made way more hits
have yall niggas even heard “demolition freestyle” by wayne n gudda gudda
wayne basicly proved he is the best plus he is not even rapping on this song his ass is doin rock shit
Eminem
Eminem murdered this shit, he most deff murdered Wayne, but Wayne still nice though
LiL WAYNE should be arrested for MURDER. Of EMINEM.
———————————————————————–
Lil wayne won this one
lil wayne
Lil weezy,is tha man
i think they both drawed it. all i really wanna c ithem is them singing together more cuz they realy good. but realy if u realy wanna no who won it was wayne. y, yall think em only had one verse, its cuz this is wayne’s shit
not em’s i am not hatin on em he blown the shit out
the water wit emothion loudness an singing it fast. but wayne sang the song real slow but showed emotion an real facts, but as i said
this is wayne’s song. n that is the diff between them an
thats y i would like them to sing more together.
oo yea y does it say lil wayne feat em.. cuz its waynes
shit not em’s. i think that wayne thought em could make
the song better so he had him come an throw a free
style in on the song. an as all yall that say that
em won.. yall j proved that to be true that it did make
the song better.. soo i say that the both killed it,
together.
AND THE BEST IS TUPAC. TAHNK U VERY MUCH HE WILL ALWAYS
BE THE BEST, AN HIS MUSIC WILL NEVER DIE. A SOLDIER MAY
SLIP N STUMBLE BUT WILL NEVER FALL. WORDS FROM THE BEST RAPER EVER.
I think u guys aint fair 2 side with either Weezy or EM because i guess the combination of these two guys was a gr8 one. Watcha think if u gt sm sense.
