How you can make a remake of a three-year-old movie is beyond me but Chris Rock and his band of brothers (figuratively speaking,) are putting it into play for Black folks next year.
With Martin Lawrence, Tracy Morgan, Kevin Hart co-starring and Loretta Devine playing the same character she does in every movie, there should be more than a few scenes to leave you *dead*. Can’t really go wrong with Zoë Saldaña either.
This casket drops sometime early 2010.

I’ve seen the original making of this movie it was pretty funny! It looks pretty true to the original. They give away the whole movie with this tralier. Seriously the WHOLE movie.
There ain’t an original idea in Hollywood and when someone offers a new and exciting script, they turn it down, to make “Meet Dave” or “Are We There Yet?”. Holla at ya boy, I got scripts and treatments galore.
Ye not a good look from a creative standpoint. But I still like to see it. Just to see a black interpretation
That cast is pretty worthy, whether the film turns out to be any good is a different matter
PS: Anybody know of a good place to get free audiobooks?? Just curious more than anything
Fact: Chris Rock doesn’t make good movies.

Somebody’s lying lol.
Hopsbeer=Chris Rock
Haha yeah
but Chris Rock>Chris Tucker
And I hear they got the same dwarf to play the same role.
um….you’d think after being accused of stealing the “Good Hair” idea that Chris Rock wouldnt follow up with a remake of a film thats 3 years old.
I saw the original and this is not only the exact same plot but they even have the same midget playing the blackmailer. This just seems incredibly lazy to me…. I mean whats next? a black version of Superbad? Hangover?
Even though Tracy Morgan is in it, watching the movie will be dumb b/c I’d know what comes next which was part of the reason for the hilarity of the original.
That midget is caking off the same script!!!!
WIN for him
If Scorcese can get win an Oscar with a remake (The Departed) that IMO wasn’t as good as the original (Infernal Affairs), then more power to Rock and Company.
Not saying this is going to win any awards, but it at least looks entertaining.
This might end up being the funniest black movie in a loooooonnnnnnnnnng time.
