While she was in Chicago, the stars and moon aligned perfectly for Ms. Diva & Ruby Hornet allowing her to complete her part for the latest installment of the Closed Sessions project. With the lackadaisical trumpet wailing & the drums in an ongoing battle to set the tempo, she channels L-Boogie on this one. My only complaint is it cuts off too abruptly. It’s okay to let the beat ride out when it actually deserves it.

I agree with you in terms of the hierarchy of her skills. Her poetry beasts anything she does musically, she’s a decent crooner but nothing spectacular, and as a MC she just sucks. That last part isn’t up for debate.

On “Spandex…”, she did good as an MC but she was at her best on “The Life Experience”. Hit up “Windows Over Harlem” & “Crazy World”…
When she wants to, she can be a beast with the pen.
I listened and it’s a good track. I just believe that she is a stronger vocalist than MC
Wow. I never heard her music before. She’s pretty good as an mc and a singer. I might check a few more of her songs out once finals are over.
