There’s nothing better than when the future of the funk all comes together for an album. But when the announcement of the formation of FE Music came several months ago, I held out hope that more music would be forthcoming, allowing the loose consortium of friends and artists to collaborate more. The time is now as Zo! manages to bring together some of music’s most talented, if yet unrecognized voices — Sy Smith, Darien Brockington, Phonte, Yahzarah & Carlitta Durand — to assist in …Just Visiting Too, the follow-up to 2006’s vinyl-only EP …Just Visiting.
The free, seven track album features talented singers alongside the creative hands & mind of Zo! handling the production and majority of the instruments. Taking a handful of originals by Prince, The Isley Brothers, Quincy Jones & others, Zo! revisits & revamps them with warm, mellow arrangements of keys, guitars, handclaps & fingersnaps. Enclosed in the …Just Visiting Too zip file is a digital pdf booklet complete with all the album credits, information on the album’s vocalists and contributors, as well as information on the originals. The finished product is a musical score perfect for keeping the flames of funk burning for days to come.

I listened to this all night.
I woke up unusually chipper this morning.
I still jam Zo! & Tiggalo love the 80s! I actually bought a physical copy! cant wait to give this a listen!

My sister wanted a copy after hearing me play it. I went to order her one and they’re nonexistent. The 2500 they pressed up are the only ones, no more.
Damn. And I have one of the autographed copies sitting in my car.
