If you’ve got time to kill, this is worth the watch.
“On this special hour-long Embedded, Mos Def takes us on an all access seven-day tour of Japan while he performs his new album The Ecstatic to packed venues in Tokyo and Osaka. During that week, he hits up the Harajuku fashion district, whoops it up at a sumo wrestling match, and gets a personal tour of the Tokyo Giants stadium from his friend and baseball phenom Mark Kroon. Then, he brilliantly ties it all together by divulging the history of great thinkers known as “ecstatics,” showing that he is clearly one of the most insightful men in hip-hop.”

I checked this out earlier. It’s a good vid to checkout, especially on a slow day like today.
Can anyone tell me the name of the last beat they play, when mos says goodbye after his performance????
I watched this a while ago when I had an hour between class its a good look into the world of Mos. Man I wish I could rock that jacket…
If Pusha’s verse on Freedom doesnt get a notable quotable this site loses all credibility lol. Seriously though, its amazing

Get outta MZ’s notes.
Y’all stay putting me onto that real shit. I just watched this and it did not disappoint. I had to go to current.com/embedded and catch the outtakes and him breaking down a couple of the songs on Ecstatic. Hey did anyone here know he has his own burger chain in Japan? Mos Burgers. Hell to the naw.
@ Reese it sounded like some old Supremes song to me.
Get outta MZ’s notes.

@ Reese and Tru School
They played Tammi Terrell’s version of “All I Do”

Stevie wrote it for Tammi when he was a youngin’ on Motown. I like his version much better on Hotter Than July. Not that the original is bad but his version has a doper groove and I love the keys on it. I’m somewhat of a Stevie Wonder stan so I’m biased like that.
