Say whatever you will about her appearance, but Lady Gaga has got grind in her blood. After going from an oddball name to rocking stadiums in less than a year, this overnight pop superstar is already back with yet another Billboard burner, “Bad Romance,” the lead single from her upcoming second album The Fame Monster. The video is like a fashion freak-show, with people trying way to hard to be weird. As for the track, well, this overindulgent uptempo piece of power pop is pretty much a Frankenstein of all her previous hits – which isn’t half bad, considering her menacing RedOne-assisted production is one of best values in the business.
Actually, on second thought, I think I just like anybody who’ll put fireworks on their boobs and stare at you like a slut.

How do you wake Lady Gaga up?
Poke Her Face
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
okay, it really wasn’t that funny.
first.
i find it hard for anyone to hate her for being creative and outgoing and giving all she has in performances and videos.
i get that many “hip hop” (black) people will claim they arent feeling her, cuz they cant play it loud in their car and FALSELY believe she has a male organ.
that doesnt make sense to me. i mean, arent we done with rollin up and down the street bumpin loud shit for no reason in most areas? aren’t we done with judging too quick on artists?
just embrace some different sounds in this world. branch out. break out your shell. listen to genres out of your element. you’re favorite rappers aren’t close-minded, so why are a lot of listeners? listen to gaga. just dare to be different.
^^That’s some Goddamn real talk Mr. Ongaku.
agreed 100%
I ain’t above listening to her or anyone for that matter. i’m still undecided on if i find her actually talented as a singer, talented @ marketing herself & tapping a market or…what the hell.
But i’m listening until I figure it all out.
definitely not directed towards you gotty.
im just saying that in general, when there is a gaga post or something different, there is a whole group of people who pre-judge without opening themselves to more that the music world has to offer.
im sure id be called all types of bs because of the eclectic music found in my itunes.
i just want more people to branch and broaden.
none taken.
i’ve long decided that just focusing on rap/hip-hop was going to wear thin (or at least wear me thin). so don’t be terribly surprised if you keep seeing things outside the lines showing up here and there.
*waits for Waylon Jennings post*
shit, if only i was on the staff. i could definitely lend a hand in the “outside the lines” area.
haha, Teef, I got a Johnny Cash post waiting on you fools.
YO, you don’t want it. you’d just get burnt out like the rest of us lmao.
listen to gaga. just dare to be different.
———————————–
…pause
like Marylin Manson but Top 40 Pop.
I don’t hate to hate.. I dont even hate her… She just ain’t my cup o’ tea.
But don’t mind me — It took a LONG time for Madonna to get any sorta play.
@ Pancho – Exactly what it sounds like to me.
Here’s a great screen by screen analysis of the video: http://flavorwire.com/49394/lady-gaga-bad-romance-stills-hitchcock
*coming in the room humbly w/ supreme fitted held in hands*
…uhhh *shaky voice* do you have a link to her Album “The Fame”
*bracing for hit*
*realizing the hit isn’t coming*
thank you, I was in the middle east for many moons and missed out on this…
gratzi
How in the world does listening to her = listening to something different, especially when she is one of the top selling artists in the world right now?
You want to call her music different? It is nothing more than a minor variation on something done a thousand times before, and if you seriously want to play the “try something different” card then you should probably save it FOR SOMETHING DIFFERENT, rather than one of the most overplayed artists of the year.
First of all, I’ve never read (def. havent heard) stereotypical remarks directed toward black people … especially coming from an asian
lmao smh..re-read that carefully.
The video…so much satanic, cult-like symbolism…
A couple that is undisputable..there’s a scene with a) the fire in the middle of the room and b) the horned-shaped figures on the wall, on both sides, behind it.
The fire represents the coming of satan (or arrival). It’s also seen in Jay-Z’s run this town video. Creepy.
well I feel a bit conflicted with this Video….Its like really weird creative avent garde images…..mixed with crappy almost unlistenable music. Honestly I find myself loving the video, I could see imagery like this is some idustrial video or maybe a bjork vid…but the music is just so…cookie cutter average pop… had I heard the song on the radio I would have turned the station immediately. I might go to one of her shows to see the what she does, Ive heard the shows are pretty out there as well. But I dont see myself ever buying an album of hers.
@ check
i don’t understand the “coming from an asian”.
if directed towards me, i am not. not that any of that should matter.
@ tigeru
if you feel that doesn’t include you, fine. but for many listeners, its an “i only listen to rap” attitude and an ” i only listen to a certain type of rap (thug, trap, drug, gangsta, etc.)” attitude. so listening to her music, WOULD BE different for those types.
hell, just a few days ago, there was someone complaining about TSS not having enough currensy, wiz, diz, french montana..etc. my “dare to be different” and “branch and broaden” would be directed towards those types of people, now wouldn’t it?
WTF! this is totally illuminati , look at the rams! and she saids rah! the egyptian god for the sun
@ongaku
It’s clear that your reason for commenting here is to create a forum where you can express your issues with the black community. It’s also clear that your issues are being generated from a very narrow point of view. Or perhaps everyone only notices “black people” enjoying music when they’re playing it loudly…I’m just sure that the majority of blacks around you are not playing their music loudly.
I’m also sure that rumors of her male organ weren’t started by a member of the black community. You’re not making any sense. And by trying to make millions of people seem ignorant, you’re only illuminating your own simplicity.
Speaking of illuminating….yes, person above me it is very cult-like. And disturbing. The only song of hers I liked was poporatzi (spelling??)
I like her music, don’t give a damn what anyone thinks. Never found a reason why I should justify what I like to anyone else.
RMF…
i dont wanna like her… but i do
I just like her, but she lacks
something for me to love her
I think its the beat
I just love the beat
(BTW, I never thought an Asian would be so racist!
I mean I’m Asian too and colors don’t matter for me)
How much did she spend anyway?
It’s like very very expensive
I love expensive, they’re cool!
