At first the idea of the Plantlife vocalist/producer Jack Splash spitting instead of serenading sounded a little unnecessary, but if “Rick James (Nasty With The Bass),” and the whole Heir To The Throne tape really, is any indication of what’s to come…damn. I need music to genuinely look forward to and be entertained by and Jack does just that.
“Rick James” is loaded with references like “Nasty with the bass/keep my girls locked up wearing lace” all strung together to make a detailed but enjoyable tribute song. Mr. Splash is definitely paving a lane of his own with this solo project, and while it’s not MC’ing in the Black Thought sense, he has the ear and uninhibited creativity to push the boundaries. If nothing else you know the music is going to bang, because whatever we might think of Jack vocally he is that and a million times more behind the boards.
On a side note, did Rick James have a part in Pet Sounds?

Lyrically shit’s on point but this beat of his is a lil too electro now for me.

My home computer blocks Zshare. My vote is for mediafire.
Let the record show that I prefer mediafire as well. zshare is give/take for me. But, since we were making a group decision, zshare got the nod for a couple of reasons, mainly b/c even the casual downloader is used to it by now. Really though, as long as it’s on one of the main sites, the source of the dl isn’t going to be a deterrent to me if i actually want it. I’ll even use depositbigfiles and hotfile if i want the record.

Gotty if you use a ad block or something similar you can’t open zshare without disbling it. Thats why zshare is always a bitch for me too. zshare and rapidshare need to leave the blogs for good.

Zshare only works for me with single mp3′s. But when it comes to large files that are 20mb+, zshare always stops mid-download. Which is why I always ask for an alt. link when it comes to these mixtapes.
