This should hold you over until The Labels Tryin’ To Kill Me hits a RapidShare link near you in the coming weeks. Gangsta Gibbs finally decided to let go of his much anticipated visual with Pill, “Womb To The Tomb.” As you likely already expected, the video accommodates the lyrics almost to the tee and really gives the record added life, with back alleys, fitted caps and the occasional blunt all making appearances. Oh yeah, I’m sorry, but Pill’s “hospitable/profitable” line still goes hard.

In the grand scheme of things, it’s been a great couple of months for Freddie G. He’s seen himself catapult from virtual underground unknown to one of the more anticipated “new” artists. Homie even had something to say about Kanye West in a recent National Post piece.

“No one can flow like I can,” says the 27-year-old rapper Freddie Gibbs, the one musician in hip-hop New Yorker scribe Sasha Frere-Jones ‘would put money on right now.’ “I met Kanye West before and he didn’t really like my music. He looked at me like I was a buffoon, but I don’t expect everyone to like my music – I definitely can rap better than him.”

Still no reply back from my open letter though. *Kanye shrug*

That’s water under the bridge. Like the rest of you, I’ll continue to wait patiently until The Labels Tryin’ To Kill Me graces my computer screen.
