Besides the Cashville affiliation, there’s a reason why Star’s material gets posted here. I enjoy the conversational style he uses periodically, sounding like he’s speaking to you from a few arm’s lengths away, slouched on a nearby couch and recalling an off the wall tale. Whether it’s based in truth or employing the writer’s license to embellish, it’s always told in a way that makes it seem like this rap thing is far too easy for him. Here, he drops one of his patented Starstyle’s over Cole’s banger.
“Is she fine? Yes, she sexy, On the one to ten scale, she’s a 110, Ass out, stomach in, I rolled over like ‘I want you to meet my momma then,’ She said ‘That’s cool, but when you gone take me around Stunna and’em’…”
But he’s far from lackadaisical and he’s having had a very productive 2009. As if Tenn-A-Keyan 3 wasn’t enough, there’s plans in the works for a version Tenn-A-Keyan 3.5 to drop around Thanksgiving.

If Freddie Gibbs can get all this critical love, why can’t Starlito?

lol, unfortunately, i think Star missed his boat while riding the pine @ Cash Money. Doesn’t matter. Most of the shit he drops still trumps a lot of cats.
All-Star is dope and like you said, he has a conversational flow that really brings you in.
Starlito’s Way II had some album caliber cuts on there.
Dude needs to jump ship and find a label that supports the movement cause artists like Gibbs and Pill are doing similar music and I think All-Star could be more viable on a commercial level then either one of them.
Gibbs is still better though. Right?
I think Gibbs is better but there’s something different about their approach. Star’s laidback while Gibbs take a real aggressive approach.
They are different in approach like Gotty said, but yeah…Gibbs is better.
