First couple of the bars from verse #2 is nothing to sneeze at. Will have to respectfully disagree with the “lackluster” and “incoherent verses.” AK keys added a huge element to the song tho…can’t front on that.
I think the live performance is what’s incoherent. World Series, VMAs and Fuse all sounded jumbled but the CD version is nice IMO. I agree that the hook made the song though.
