Yeah the Twins aren’t in good shape vs. the Yanks, but no team really is. I like the Blackburn vs Burnett match up for the twins. Blackburn has looked very good his last couple starts. Tomorrow’s game could be the Twins lone shot at making this a series

Jesse – The Twins are good. If Morneau was still in the lineup I would give them more of a chance. Mauer is fire but honestly it’s not enough.
Beating the Tigers cost you beating the Yanks.

Did anyone watch the Yankees vs Twins game yesterday? I wanted to pull my hair out listening to the announcers as they developed lock jaw as they blew every single yankee THE ENTIRE GAME. Jeter hit that home run I thought one guy was going to have a heart attack. Nick Punto had the top play on sportscenter today (maybe number 2), and these announcers were about as monotone as Guru. Absolutely no mention of the run the Twins are currently on or the amazing ball game they played Monday night. Fuck TBS. Sorry for my rant, but the announcers pissed me off by the third inning while the Twinkies were winning.

All I am saying is give the team some credit. Damn TBS pissed me off.

Yankees all the way, only because the Braves aren’t around so I cheer for them by default.

Truthfully, I wasn’t even aware it was playoff time until I was wearing my Tigers hat Tues. night & some dude came up to me in the restaurant tombout “Go Tigers! Yeah!”

I was confused, til I got home & turned on TV later that night, then saw the highlights.

I don’t see where everyone is getting this buzz of the Cardinals from, it was evident last night and will continue to be as the series goes on: Their bullpen is shit.

If their starters can’t go 7, and the bats don’t produce, the Dodgers will play the Phillies in the CS.

The Cardinals don’t have a bullpen that can hold leads against the Yankees. Dave Duncan is the best pitching coach in the game, he continues to take reclaimation projects and turn them into productive pitchers for the Cards. Their closer Franklin wasn’t scarring anyone to begin with plus he goes into the playoffs slumping.

Eventhough Philly put a good whooping on the Rockies yesterday, I still think this is going to be a long series. Jim Tracy has them playing great ball(no Skip Caray) lol!!

Sox v Angels is tough to call, the Red Sox has had their number for awhile. But the Red Sox lack of a catcher who can throw anyone out, against a team so laden with speed may cause the sox alot of trouble.

As long as the Yanks contiue to play well and not let the Twins believe they can beat them the Yankees should sweep them. If they allow the Twins gain any confidence it can turn into a long series.
