Shortyo Feat. All My Favorite Artists…

By Beware / 10.16.09

If I were doing a rap album, and had unlimited pockets, not only would it probably be feta as f_ck but it would also guarantee Nate Dogg and TQ belting out a few hooks. As far as reaching out to a few rappers for assistance, I might choose Too Short to round out my pimp game and feature Lil Wayne for promotional purposes only. And beats? Well,of course, my choice selection of thump would be provided by only the best, a heading which West Coast underdog FredWreck falls under in my cook book.

Easier said than done, right?

Not if you’re Shortyo “The God.”

This semi-sized veteran emcee has proved that the ceiling-high stacks on his album cover are very real, by enlisting every single one of the relatively unattainable artists I mentioned above for his new Koch release, King Of The Kounty. Plus, Drumma Boy. Yung Berg. Felli Fell. Etc. Despite the great guestlist, I listened to the few that tickled my fancy (||) and I’m not overly impressed.

So, the moral of the story is, now matter much money you spend on your CD or how many how Rolex’s you give away, your bars are what keep you credible.
