In regards to “Walk These Streets,” this new Maino-assisted heatrock from A3C headliner Rakim, I couldn’t help but get this extremely weird inkling that Dr. Dre was manning the ship as I streamed the fiery drop from Ra Allah’s upcoming album, The Seventh Seal.
Whether he gets credited or not, I’m 93% sure it’s Team Andre on the boards, which only pisses me off when thinking about how good Oh, My God could’ve been. I’m sure the living legend will keep it close to perfection regardless.

Never saw this collab coming, but it gets the seal of approval from me.
Ah man, this is dope. I saw Ra a couple years ago, and he still throws a great show.
Yeah this song sounds Dre-influenced. Hopefully after the success of OBCL 2, Ra and Dre would release this album already.
Hot. Even though he’s a lil corny to me, I like Maino. And though it need not be said Rakim is the GOAT
it surprised me too, but Ra goes for that type of rapper for some reason. He pulled Styles P out on stage in Central Park (though styles > Maino) If this aint dre, then its a good copy. And if yall never heard Rakim’s version of that Where Do You Go After You Die song that Busta used the beat and hook to on Big Bang, then you missed out on some amazing shit. Oh My God wouldve been fire, i wish dre wouldve chilled and let Ra be Ra instead of insisting on makin him gangster. Thats Dres fault if you ask me. Rakim is GOAT
i like it
GOAT indeed, still light years ahead of the chasing pack.
Each rhyme and syllable that he spits has at least 15 different intepretations that you could potentially decode from the flow.
this shit is pretty tight.
i remember back when rakim ain’t collabo wit other rappers, then he did “hoodlum” with mobb deep. i think that was his first rap collabo, my trivia may be off.
i like maino, though. and he did his thing on this joint. other legends make songs about what they did in the past & why everybody needs to respect ‘em & all that shit. but ra just made a dope song with this & kept it current. good stuff.
The track is produced by Needlz, so yeah the Dre influence is understandable.
If I didn’t know better I don’t know if I would have known that was Rakim. The flow is there but his voice sounds way different.
