Cop: Polo Cotton-Linen Flag Sweater

It’s not too often that I’ll even consider paying retail for anything Polo, mainly because anything off the beaten path will normally hit the sales rack, at least in this area. But when they bring back a classic design or line from years previous, my knee-jerk reaction is always to grab my wallet & buy it. I’m going to hold off on pullin’ the trigger on this Flag sweater though…at least for today. Not sure how much restraint I’ll be able to show after that.
Watch me find time to make it to a store because trying it on is mandatory. If you’re tall like me regular fit Lo sweaters be wasted © Gucci, only make it to your bellybutton and thus you need an XLT.
Purists will disagree with the brand’s decision to reissue a joint like this (and, coming from the sneaker world, I understand) but there’s enough difference between the older and new so that it shouldn’t dent the value of OG pieces. Whatever though. It’s good to see the brand starting to bring back a few of the popular pieces with each season. Get that retro money Ralphie! Just don’t OD, word to Jordan Brand.

Lack of understanding of Lo is highly prevalent, but i expect & accept that.
Isn’t not about having the little pony logo on your shit. it’s about having “pieces.” the knits. the crests. all that wild Tiger shit. The mallards & ducks sweaters. half of my Lo stuff has no logo, and that’s the beauty of it.
Flags haven’t been used in years but if you can remember anything pre-’98 or so, having Lo & Lo Sport w/that flag = the game shut down. period.
Again though, it’s one of those things you gotta be immersed in or at least very familiar with to understand it. My lady looked @ it the same way initially. “It’s ‘patriotic’” Uhm, I’m not patriotic. I’m wearing it b/c it’s flickin’.
