Last night marked the opening of the 2009 NBA season, so of course, the champions received with their rings. And, of course, Nike gave Kobe a special pair of shoes…because that’s what sneaker companies do for top-dollar, accomplished athletes, they worship the ground they walk on and gift them with things. I’ve never worn a pair of yellow & purple kicks but these are hardbody.

I can’t front Jellybean has been killin’ it w/ the Kobe IV’s but as a staunch hater of Jellybean the Rapist and Co. I refuse to cop anything that got that N’s name attached to it…
nike needs to permanently do away with the shiny plastic. it looks childish and janky, plus it gets beat up too fast and leaves your shoes lookin ugly. also, this isn’t the 80s.
