Lil’ Boosie - “Primetime”
AUDIO By Gotty™ on October 30, 2009 at 11:02 pmPressure bursts pipes…or it makes diamonds.
With upcoming jail time right on the horizon, Boosie has obvious frustration with the situation. Perhaps needing an outlet, Bad Azz takes out his frustration in the booth and maxes his time before going into the clink.
“Kick my do’ but I wa’an home, now they got a warrant out
Was gone run them motherfuckers til my fuckin’ album dropped
Dropped a few TT’s got on my knees and asked God what to do
He told me “go back to the boot. Turn yourself in…
Been up in situations, been gettin’ interrogated
For a whole lotta shit, I’m talking murder and homicides
Only thing that mad me mad, when my momma cried.”
And I still say Superbad could’ve been much better. Listen to Boosie Boo run through “Primetime” with two wild flagrant verses and you’ll understand why. Mixtape > retail.

….so you mean to tell me he puts the pills in the bootyhole?
off the Boosie topic, i just stopped by okayplayer, and realized why i never go there anymore in 10 secs of being on there. gotty & TSS crew thank you for making a site that i can read everyday and not want to puch someone. why do we ask a question like “why does weezy use meatphors, that is a weak way to rap?” like a weezy fan is suddenly gonna say “man, i never realized he says “like” alot. i will never be a weezy fan ever again.” but i digress.
this track is a banger. Boosie is growing on me. Might be the only hip hop fan on the Gulf Coast that ain’t riding for Boosie already. he is starting to grow on me like ivy on wrigley fields wall (in honor of weezy in his sometimes awful metaphors, which still entertain me).
i gotta say…i dont really like boosie’s flow.. but ill be damned if he aint one of the most interesting rappers/personalitys out there right now… you always HAVE to listen to his shit when it comes out… its madness really..
If Boosie had gone more personal, more with the “madness,” Superbad would’ve been reminiscent of old Rap-A-Lot bangers.
I like Superbad, and it continues to grow on me even more. But you’re right that he didn’t find the right mix between his mixtapes and commercial success.
