Juelz Santana Feat. YelaWolf - “Mixing Up The Medicine”
AUDIO By K1NG on October 16, 2009 at 10:12 amWhat The Game’s Been Missing is one of my personal favorite albums from 2005 & was found in multiple top 10 lists across the net. At the time, Juelz was on fire, dropping great verses everywhere he found an open 16 worth his attention. Somewhere along the line however, his rapping seemed to take a backseat to his affiliations. Whether it was separating himself from his former crew, trying to start his own crew or hanging onto the coat tails of the now megastar Lil’ Wayne, it seemed like his lyrical content became just a secondary asset to his persona.
Luckily, after an extended period out of the spotlight, it seems like Juelz might actually be applying his skills towards music again with a stellar new track. Anchored by an lively hook from Alabama upstart YelaWolf (more him later) over a bouncy, country-fried backdrop complete with banjo and deep drums that are sure to make your subwoofers get a work out when played in the ride, the track is a perfect re-introduction to the former Dipset member’s cocky, sarcastic style that gained him attention in the first place.
If this is a sign of things to come, Santana’s on his way back to being considered a viable threat in the rap game, as he should be.

You liked “What The Game’s Been Missing?” You’re honestly the first person I’ve ever heard say that. I bought the joint on the strength of the song with him and Cam over the “Welcome To Jamrock” sample, and they even had the nerve to change the beat on the album. I don’t fuck with that joint at all.
From Me To U > WTGBM
I still bring that one out and spin it periodically, surprised @ how many tracks that don’t require skipping.
Groov, ya buggin!
“What The Game’s Been Missing?” was a dope album. I honestly can still listen to it, minus like 2 tracks and the clean version of Mic Check.
I dunno, But I dugg it
I dunno know about that one Gotty but ey…
to each his own
Personal preferences. Not pushing my agenda on anyone else. By the time he brought that album out, I was Dipset’ted out lol.
Okay, Okay, Okay!!!
That first album was so bad it made me laugh. The second one was bloated, but it had its moments.
FMTU was on perpetual play throughout my entire junior year of college. we prepartied to that shit every weekend and it was the soundtrack to numerous pong battles. as far as i am concerned, there was no finer record that came out that year.
From Me To You was an instant classic. Juelz fucked up when he allowd Wayne in.
i enjoyed WTGBM very much….a lot more than his first one.
the best part of this song is the sample and yelawolf.
Y’all can front if y’all want, but Juelz was on the fast track to stardom. He was basically on the same come up as Wayne before label BS fucked him over. WTGBM isn’t a great album but it’s still a really good one.
And that new joint Juelz has with Chris Brown is a banger.
Too bad Def Jam is basically ignoring Juelz cause that song has potential.
Santana has dropped two bricks.
Back Like Cooked Crack Vol. 1 >>>> everything else he’s ever done on the solo tip.
as far as i am concerned, there was no finer record that came out that year.
====================================================
LMAO! FM2U isn’t even the best album that dropped on that DAY!! Trap Muzik also came out 8/19/03. I remember because I had to cop them both since I was home from school for the summer and didn’t have access to high speed. I instantly switched over to Trap Muzik after a few tracks of Santana’s album.
Juelz - Jealousy >>>>
Who am I? - Still the best Juelz joint. Pound for pound.
Somebody come up off the dirty version of Mic check!
Jwest, I have that dirty version. It was on Back Like Cooked Crack Vol. 2
good look to juelz for this bobby dylan sample
The BLCC series got me through some hard partying times my first year of college.
Mannnnn, BLCC 2 is one of my personal favorite mixtapes…ever.
WTGBM wasn’t a bad album. “Rumble Young Man Rumble” still gets spin to this day.
lol dis iz sick
