What The Game’s Been Missing is one of my personal favorite albums from 2005 & was found in multiple top 10 lists across the net. At the time, Juelz was on fire, dropping great verses everywhere he found an open 16 worth his attention. Somewhere along the line however, his rapping seemed to take a backseat to his affiliations. Whether it was separating himself from his former crew, trying to start his own crew or hanging onto the coat tails of the now megastar Lil’ Wayne, it seemed like his lyrical content became just a secondary asset to his persona.

Luckily, after an extended period out of the spotlight, it seems like Juelz might actually be applying his skills towards music again with a stellar new track. Anchored by an lively hook from Alabama upstart YelaWolf (more him later) over a bouncy, country-fried backdrop complete with banjo and deep drums that are sure to make your subwoofers get a work out when played in the ride, the track is a perfect re-introduction to the former Dipset member’s cocky, sarcastic style that gained him attention in the first place.

If this is a sign of things to come, Santana’s on his way back to being considered a viable threat in the rap game, as he should be.
