For those out of the loop, Freddie Gibbs has a new mixtape on its way in November entitled that’s most likely going to The Labels Tryin To Kill Me! overshadow the majority of retail releases this year. I say this with the utmost confidence, based on the quality of his two previous outings this year – The Miseducation… and midwestgangsta…

Today, Freddie & co. unleash a video coming from the latter of the two tapes, the hydroponics-inspired cut “Boxframe Cadilac.” Shot by the same Yours Truly crew who brought us “Murda On My Mind” last week, the video is a perfect compliment to the eerily menacing composition with its black & white depiction of Freddie in the studio laying down his rapid fire lyricism over the mix of bouncing keys and subtle strings that carry his verses into the electric guitar-driven, screwed up hook dedicated to his marijuana habit.

I’m not sure if anybody out there has been foolish enough to overlook the Gary, IN wordsmith, but if so, they could always redeem themselves by downloading his two previous works with relative ease.
