@Douglas Howser, agreed about Return of The Boom Bap with Sex & Violence coming in at second for me.

Lyrically Rakim is the GOAT, no ifs or buts about it.

However, in terms of charisma, presence on the mic and sheer entertainment value, KRS One is the most perfectly rounded emcee to ever grace the mic, straight up, he knows how to cold rock the spot and get the crowd amped up during a live performance.

Boogie Down was performing and they ain’t no joke, down with the sound called BDP!

MC’s Act Like They Don’t Know is probably my favourite KRS track, top notch lyrics and a slick beat courtesy of DJ Premier.

Also The P Is Still (Remix) from Return of The Boom Bap and Menace II Society soundtrack is awesome too, great storytelling and a vintage DJ Premier beat, makes the bass cone on my speakers go whoom whoom whoom!

All the BDP albums are stone cold classics, and so is his solo album and singles catalogue on JIVE.

Who can forget the PM Dawn incident and also the time when he ripped into Tim Westwood live during the Radio One Rap Show, that was so random, but funny!
