“Oh, You Will Respect Blake Griffin…”
AUDIO By J. Tinsley on October 20, 2009 at 11:46 amSimply put, the kid has the potential to live up to his freak of nature billing, and given what everyone already knows about him, I fully expect him to. Dubbing Griffin as the ‘next Amare Stoudamire’ may be premature, but clips like this give me all the reason in the world to continue to do so (too bad he plays for the forgotten stepchild of Los Angeles sports).
Plus, this dunk bears an uncanny resemblance to an Amare dunk his rookie season, as well. I’m just sayin’…
For the record, you know Kobe probably gave Mbenga the tounge lashing of his life (||) in the locker room after the game for this stunt.

dude has been killin it in the post season. High hopes for him… and the clippers… they’re gonna be real this season.
DACOS!!
Amare > Blake
To be fair, MBenga was comin ova on help defense. And anybody who knows anything about anything to do with basketball can tell you that’s a sure fire way to get dunked on.
Props to BG for the elevation and hangtime. But he’s definitely a far cry from Amare. Plays with more passion yes, but not as much pure athleticism. PlUS…an APB has been out on Blake’s jumpshot. Somebody let me kno how that search goes. HaHA

@ infamous….good points.
Haha, Dotta has found his way to The Smoking Section. Welcome.
Regardless if he was playing help D or not, he got banged on. That’s the point of it all, not whether or not Mbenga was playing help D. Stop defending your Lakers lol.
LMAO how dare you question Blake’s athleticism. Look at this guy’s body of work and research his training regiment. During the summer between his freshman and sophomore year, he worked with this trainer working out seven hours a day, five days a week. Running up inclines with ankle weights. Just google it, it’s all there. Dude can flat out play and is a freak of nature.
As far as the Amare comparisons go, Amare never had a jump shot his rookie season either.
For the record, I know Dotta personally. I’m not coming at this guy’s neck blindly. We have arguments like this ALL the time.
LMAO at Mbenga trying to explain it away after the play.. he was like “Aggin how you let him just walk into the lane like tht??” His facial expression reeks of disappointment at his misfortune. No matter how he got open…
MBENGA got BANG-ED on LOL
Also the announcers chuckle at the end is pure comedy. That oh-so-classic white-man chuckle that Dave Chappelle does sooo well
*dead* @ MBenga point to his teammate like “nigga that was yo’ damn fault I got yamed on…”
He has his eyes closed in that picture lmao.
That dunk made T.O. say “It’s unfair!!” (c) Classic Terrell press conference meltdown.
