If he’s gonna put it on a track, a 8 minute track at that, PUT IT ALL OUT THERE. Start to finish. Call it a night. No Vaseline style. And then move on, move away, move quick. Because otherwise, you’re not doing it to get it off your chest, you’re pitching for a part in Days of our Rap Lives. You’re not gonna get paid for it, you’re actually gambling your whole career on David and Goliath odds.

Real talk? Jay is one of the most difficult cats to actually get in touch with and speak to - even when you are working with him (beyond Timbo… I have NEVER even seen Timothy in real life - he may be a real life S1m0ne as far as I know - http://www.ew.com/ew/article/0,,20015644,00.html).
But I hold nothing against him in that regard.
That said, we did speak and he talked in-depth about his artists/acts - specifically Beans. He basically kept it 100 and I sensed not one ounce of animosity. A man is a man. He told me that he believed Beans to be one of the nicest emcees in rap (which WAS true) - he just never applied himself.
It is like something in life that you are just really good at (anyone who watches MMA… think B.J. Penn) without having to even work at it. BUT, if you did, you could be the best.
Beans is a product of his own destiny. Jay opened the door.

Gotty has some good points as well. Other than Jay-Z, Beans has released more albums under the Roc-a-fella flag than anyone else,… he’s had more attempts at getting to the status that he wants to be at after all these years in the game. If anything, Beans’ behavior outside of the booth has kept him from getting what he deserves… in a nutshell, he made it easier for Jay to push him to the side. Let’s be honest, I don’t need to hear Beanie Sigel’s side of the story to know that.

I agree with most of y’all that money and career wise Jay did a whole lot for Beans and he really should not complain, 5 solo albums should be the end of the conversation.
But I think the real point Beanie is making purposefully or not, is Jay left behind any association with the hood shit and just cut Beanie off silently instead of explaining himself.
Beanie was Jay’s soldier, popping off about potential gunplay so Jay didn’t have to. And when Beanie started catching all these cases, which were not typical rap shit like gun or weed possession, but rather maniac hood shit like bucking a shotty in broad daylight despite the fact you are on a gang of sedatives, Jay chose (wisely?) to not take responsibility for Beans any longer.
In open court Jay let it be down he would not vouch for Beans, and slowly but surely cut all lines of communication and separated himself.
It’s not a new story of rappers separating themselves from their wild cards as they move up tax brackets and social circles, 50 did the same shit with some of his old unit, but he was public about it saying they were simply a liability.

After listening to the song and radio interview it seems as if this was a heartfelt convo tht beans wanted to tell jay buts has not gotten a chance to say since jay is hard to reach. now the who money and fame part beans admitted he has squandered his chance (on the interview he said he need tht jail time to wake up) now as far as wht he wanted from jay he wanted him to school him to the biz which you are supposed to your self but i guess he expected jay’s help so tht is wht it is also it seems as if beans is more hurt about the loss of a friendship if you notice beans wasn’t hatin calling him camel face or any other dumbshit he was just venting which is cool at the end of the day beans wants a convo with jay about evrything and i think jay does owe him one
