Nothing like screwing the pooch live on TV, especially during the season premiere of a show. But that’s what rookie SNL cast member Jenny Slate did, using the f-word in the middle of a skit where she was portraying a biker chick.
Odds of that clip staying available before NBC puts the kibosh on it: slim to none.
I’m assuming Lorne Michaels blew a gasket but don’t stress it Jenny. Personally, I’ve always been amazed how SNL comedians have been disciplined enough not to having slipped up more often. So what you cursed this one time? It only took you your whole short life to get this opportunity and you probably worked very hard for it. Shouldn’t take more than five to ten years to dig yourself out of your newly formed hole.

That was her first skit on SNL right?
She seemed nervous and I personally did not find the skit funny at all.
Hope she improves.

I was acutually watching this (don’t ask me why) and in a dumbass skit where every other word was ‘friggin,’ that slip up was the best part. Can’t blame her. At least she maintained her bearings.
It’s unbelievable how hypocritical the american public is. Showing off almost naked young women everyday & speaking about sex in a covered way in TV is okay, but actually sayin those words is banned.
I remember when Eminem came to a german TV show and kept repeating pussy etc. and was happy like a little boy to be able to say whatever was on his mind without risking to be banned.
Every Extreme position is referenced to your constitution as a right of expression of opionon by those fuckheads.
Former President Bush was able to say that the Iraq got weapons of mass destruction and was obviously lying is okay and won’t be harmed for this is okay, but showing off a nipple will lead to one of your nations greatest scandals and to a lawsuit.
lying 2 the people is okay, but cuss words/exhibited bodies are forbidden to protect those poor young citizens?
I often think how a country like the US who claims to be open and forwarded could be reactionary and narrow-minded.
I’m happy to be able to see shows where everybody could say what’s on his mind without getting censored.

I didn’t find that snippet of the skit funny either. perhaps cuz it was taken out of context, but SNL hasn’t been consistently funny from beginning to end in years.
They should be happy, because otherwise no one would be talking about SNL. Everyone’s just waiting for Timberlike to make his customary appearance.

I’m sick of it. Chevy was the best, or Eddie Murphy, Or Ferrell.
Don’t forget Ferrell’s era had Ana Gasteyer, Rachel Dratch, Sherri O’Terri. That’s a lot of ugly unfunny woman reakin’ up a set. I won’t even start on Chris Kattan.

I don’t get that. It seems like it is typical for the Americans to either say you love us or you are against us. Don’t get me wrong, I love many things about America, otherwise I wouldn’t read this blog. But there are also many things which are so completely irritating about the US.
@ BuLLit, It’s glorious. First time I watched TV5 and heard all the cussing, I was overjoyed. Then I realized that condoned profanity breeds intense creativity in the cursing process. And then I started taking notes…..

I thought the skit sucked. She may be dunzo. I will say that Keenan Thompson was funny as hell last night. Him doing the old man with the instructional sex video is hil-air-re-us.
the simple fact is it was a slip up. The entire skit was revolving around the fact that trailer trash people say Frickin’ a lot, and it was repeated over, and over, and over, and over. Honestly it wasn’t that funny due to that very fact, a subdued frickin’ may have worked because of Kristen Wiig, who is by far the best on the show, hands down.
Lots of people comment but didn’t watch the whole thing so they are talking out of their ass.
There are some great comedians on SNL, like Bill Hader who is hilarious, and I don’t see anyone else trying the stuff they are. Sure it’s hit or miss, but would you rather watch some idiotic reality tv show – those are 100x worse and don’t even have a point, ooooh whose gonna be the next BIg FAT Bachelorette Survivor?? who the hell cares? thank god for letting SNL make fun of idiots.
SNL’s best hope for publicity these days is this kinda stuff. most of these folks ain’t funny by nobody’s standards of funny but Lorne Michaels’.
