I’m pretty sure this was the only way that McNabb wanted to see Vick under center in September.  But come 1 pm today, the Michael Vick era will officially begin in Philadelphia.

Eagles coach Andy Reid has said that Vick is not ready to be a starter. Eagles offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg said Thursday that Vick definitely will see action in Sunday’s game.

“He’ll play. How much we’ll see as the week goes on,” Mornhinweg told reporters, according to The Morning Call. “I think he’s in top physical condition. We’ll see how he handles a few things we have in for him.”

Kevin Kolb will be the starter and is looking for a better showing than last week’s loss to the Saints.  Right now Vick’s supposed to be in for about 10-15 plays, but that could change depending on how good Kolb plays.  The Kansas City Chiefs will be a good first game back for Vick though, seeing how outside of the Lions they’re the closest thing the NFL has to a minor league team.

And poor Donovan.

Another year, another injury. The NFLPA should just vote him to be the all-time Madden cover, because the curse has been following his ever since he graced the cover.
