Apple complemented the introduction of its new iPods with the release of its popular music and media manager, iTunes 9. Aside from sporting a redesigned App Store layout and improved synchronization options with iPods and iPhones, iTunes 9 brings to the table a slew of new features such as iTunes LP, Home Sharing and Genius Mixes.

According to the iTunes tutorial, iTunes LP will offer extended content such as live performance videos, lyrics, artwork, interviews and photos. Another new feature that may come in use is Home Sharing, which allows users to easily transfer music, movies and apps with up to five authorized computers in a home over a shared network. Family members can now view iTunes libraries and import their favorite content to their own libraries. iTunes also has a new feature called Genius Mixes. It’s basically a remixed version of the older Genius element, but automatically makes several mixes for you based off what you listen to.

This shouldn’t that amazing to everyone right away. But as iTunes LP features gains more steam and more artists utilizing, these could be some great additions.
