“The Wonder Of Stevie…”
AUDIO By Gotty™ on September 21, 2009 at 4:59 pmI’ve read several different autobiographies & biographies over the past several months. Bobby Womack. Sly Stone. Marvin Gaye. James Brown. Fred Wesley. They all had one name that recurred within their pages: Stevie Wonder. Across genres & decades, Stevie’s music has sold literally tens of millions of copies chronicling many different emotions & experiences along the way. What many may not realize is Stevie’s work as it pertains to others. Having written & arranged for so many artists, his musical fingerprint will remain a part of contemporary music for long after he’s gone.
To that end, I find it proper to share with you another DJ Spinna creation. This outing he teams with Bobbito for The Wonder Of Stevie, which released in 2003 as a two-disc set of originals and reworks. The first disc is medley of “Oh snap” moments once you realize that array of songs all feature Stevie’s Midas touch.
