Dame Dash Presents The Black Roc Project

By TSSCrew / 09.19.09

Never in my most intoxicated imagination would I have imagined that Dame Dash and The Black Keys would link up to do a project. The way Dame tells the story it makes sense though and it’s actually pretty ingenious. The Black Keys music really is that addictive and with the heavy drums and sonic rawness that their sound is based on it’s prime for some Rap cats to catch wreck. I always thought they should be doing little side projects with rappers — sorta like how Ratatat did their mixtapes — and I’m glad someone of Dame’s stature was the first to bring it to life. Recorded in eleven days, the album features a mean list of artists: Billy Danze, Raekwon, Pharoah Monch and others.

And it will probably be really fucking good. How could it not?
