“Leather So Soft” came on Shade 45 last week and the video immediately came to mind. It’s an unintentional comedy goldmine that can only be appreciated with “soft eyes” © Lester Freamon.  So when I saw the video for “Money To Blow” in the Google Reader, I smiled before pushing play.

Outside of the melody, I couldn’t even tell you what was being said.  I was stuck pondering life’s mysteries… like if Drake is rapping in a bowl of milk with money floating around shouldn’t he either be sinking or have Jesus nearby to keep him afloat?  Or why is Birdman the oldest looking 40 year old alive?  How’d he manage to spit a whole verse without using aggin to make his lines rhyme?

It’s a goofy video, but no where near the level of “Leather So Soft.”

I mean where else are you gonna find gyrating video girls, little ballerinas that combine to make a white tiger, a garage band, movers, an interpreter that turns into a black panther & Wayne wearing a Les Paul around his neck like a chain?  And the split screens and artistic blurs are top notch.

It’s pretty obvious that money wasn’t blown the day they came up with this video treatment.
