As the circus continues gaining steam, Jay speaks to MTV about the cover of BP3. I would tell you more but I’ve imposed a strict gag order on my ears, refusing to listen to anything about this album. Not the leaks, not the video interviews, none of that. Periodically, I’ll glance @ an article but overall, I’m steadfast in waiting to hear a finished product without any outside influence. Fuck peer pressure.
I got will power like that.

Jigga
I’m doing the same with OBCL2 lol
I hear that Gotty.
I know after American Gangster the machine better not mess this album up.
I can’t wait for the leak
A little too high concept for my tastes. I’m convinced Hov just saw the finished cover & okayed it. He had little to no input as far as the actual images that were chosen.
That’s more of a Kanye thing.
^ I concur. Someone like him knows his strengths & delegates tasks to underlings to compensate for his weaknesses. His job is to talk it up & put a PR spin on it….and, of course, claim credit.
@ Gotty
Not the leaks

What you think about “Run This Town”
While the cover (and his explanation of it) seems highbrow, he doesn’t strike me as the type to conceptualize & execute it from beginning to end. He just brands it.
I got will power like that.

so says the shoe fiend
LOL
then stop doing this blog, lol
thought so

Bullseye.
He just doesn’t seem artistic enough to come up with something like that cover.
In fact, this whole project seems like an attempt to do what Kanye has been doing the past couple albums in terms of bringing an artistic flair to the project.
Jay’s “Jocking Kanye”.
I’ve learned that is the best strategy when waiting for an album. Anything past the second leak I refuse to listen until the entire album is in my possession.
With that said, I really don’t see how Jay can fail on this album with Kanye & No I.D. doing ALL the production. Then again, I bet $150 the Patriots would beat the Giants too…
The emancipation of Jay-Zz, check him out, september 09 !
i think that ain’t the last cover w/o jay’s face on it…
year after year, he wanna be more musical because of his age, his ambition and multi milli deals. no huslter’s music, mogul’s music now
with kanye, jay saw the Hiphop and the Pop… mixture is coming…
he’s still know that the hiphop world ain’t ready for a whole jayz/coldplay album and ish like dat, but he moves in this direction, day after day…
and that’s not bad in fact because he wants be fuckin’ relevant at 50 (in adequation with his age and his music) [cuz it's hard nevertheless for a rapper to grow up and innovate, still with massive success and lights]
businessly and musically. and damn with his career’s wise and his talent plus beats’ selection force, the fuckin’ fact iz that, probably he will !
as far as leaks go, grab ‘em while you can, lol.
There were at least 6 from Slaugterhouse that didn’t make the album.
there have been 2 or 3, from what I can tell, that won’t make BP3.
album concept, I’ll got with the spin set in the Smoke Break.
“Everyone’s askin’ about the 3″ (shifts left shoulder to show it on upper sleeve)
I laughed at the “will power” line too, Teef.
Hey man, if yall only knew lol. I do pretty damn well w/restraint. & as I said before, each shoe purchase serves a strategic purpose hehe. If one comes in, something else is liable to be going out.
I’m like Tinsley. I’ll grab a couple & listen but I try not to burn’em into the ground. I listen just enough.
“Run This Town” I like. I listened to it 3x yesterday but more for a little research than trying to hear them. That won’t make sense right now I’m sure, but it’s the case.
But teef nailed it. Jay doesn’t appear to be that artistic to pull all that together. I could be wrong but I doubt it.
STFU
the original # 3 this guy…just make good music
