Usher – “Cruisin’”
AUDIO By J. Tinsley on August 13, 2009 at 7:15 pmDon’t get me wrong, I’m all for seeing people prosper in their relationships. However, musically speaking, the relationship Usher pales in comparison to the “Confessions” Usher. I hate to place that type of comparison on an artist, but I can’t ignore the fact Here I Stand hurt my pride as a fan. Now that he’s single again, I’m not suggesting he go Rick Pitino (sorry coach, but that’s one hell of a story…even if it isn’t true) on a chick, I merely hope an acceptable album is on the way.
With all that being said, this previously unreleased Usher record was record during his happier days with Tameka Foster. Chances are “Cruisin” won’t make the final cut, but this Dre & Vidal production is certainly worthy of a spins on the iPod and/or car. It’s smooth, it’s catchy and a nice record to play when your with the ol’ lady.

Hey! I happened to like his last album. Not every joint hit but he did have some joints on there! Now with that said, I would love to hear him murk some shit like he did on “Confessions.”
Pain & Strife?
