First J. Tinsley’s post brought this song back to my memory. Then Gotty ™ cemented it with his latest iPod shuffle. We know Cee-Lo kills it from the feature slot and L-Boogie as an emcee has all but gone the way of the dodo. It’s a shame we never got a chance to hear those two on the same track. Well it’s a shame that most of you guys never got to hear them on a track.
Back in 1999, while most of the world was wrapped up in “Smooth” & “Maria Maria,” Carlos Santana got the two of these together just in the nick of time. I happened upon “Do You Like The Way” after buying Supernatural as a gift for my dad on his birthday. One listen had me hooked & this song was played ad nauseam over the summer. Lauryn was still at her peak following her debut, Cee-Lo was just beginning to branch outside the Dungeon Family & Santana was… Santana.

ENNIS, Ireland, Aug. 8 (UPI) — U.S. boxing great Muhammad Ali has accepted an invitation to visit the Irish town his great-grandfather left almost 150 years ago.
The town council of Ennis, in County Clare on the west coast of Ireland, invited Ali. His representatives and local officials agreed Saturday he will be in Ennis on the afternoon of Sept. 1.
Abe Grady emigrated from Ireland in the 1860s to Kentucky, where he married a black woman. A granddaughter, Odessa Lee Grady, married Cassius Clay Sr. and moved to Louisville, where their son was born in 1942 and named after his father.
Cassius Clay Jr. later converted to Islam and changed his name.
“This is a very exciting event for the people of Ennis and County Clare, who will get to see the boxing legend when he embarks on a drive throughout the town and the birthplace of his great-grandfather,” Mayor Frankie Neylon said.
Neylon said he would propose Ali receive a civil reception, the town’s highest honor, and that the boxer be named the first “honorary freeman of Ennis Town.”
……
^^ I’ve been to this town. It’s really close to where half of my family is from and where I was Baptized(protestant of course).
if you search hard enough all three performed this song together for a live DVD release of this specific Santana CD…..it was pretty epic on stage. I saw it on a big screen Circuit City tv when they used to play the same dvd on about 77 screens at the same time….every where I turned L Boog was there…..and Ceelo’s teeth
This is a great song as well
