Ras Kass - “Thank You”
AUDIO By Gotty™ on August 10, 2009 at 9:44 pmThe Golden Child raps over the theme song from The Golden Girls and I haven’t been so pleased since Cam jacked Hill Street Blues. Chances are you giving Rassy a similar stoneface that Dorothy would give Rose, but this is aiight. Partially because the show itself holds a spot in my heart. I mean if I see the show on while I’m flipping channels I’ll stop & watch it. But moreso because it Ras giving thanks to those who’ve stuck with him during his time on the run, behind bars & all things in between.

This Golden Girl’s shit is dope. I’m all for random samples. Word to Roscoe’s “The Brother” being one of my favorite songs (Cheers theme). Shit is 100% true to the heart. You can tell.
Wasn’t sure at first, but I’m back on the Rassy train after this one (II).
GG is a sitcom classic. Hilarious!

Fam, I can’t find this Roscoe joint anywhere. I lost my copy when I lost my Lacie. If I’ve got it on a CD somewhere, I’ll post it in the comments.
It’s rare, didn’t make Philaphornia of the sample and is fucking hard to find.
There was a song in the mid-nineties that used the hill street blues theme too. Never found out the artist (think it was a duo) or the name of the track. Kinda sounded a little like MOP, but never found the track in their catalog.
