Lame. Your just starting to get some big buzz and you put out a mixtape I have to pay for? Do your thing dude but there is no way i’m paying for a mixtape in this day and age.
Mixtapes = mini-albums these days w/budgets that include many of the same expenses as albums. He gave away 2, asking for $10 for the 3rd isn’t “bad” if you’re a fan. The option to try before you buy is there as well, with them offering up a stream.
I’ve got mixed emotions but I don’t think it’s a negative.

Nipsey is the truth, but as a newer artist looking for exposure I don’t think this was a necessary move. Especially given the fact that he hasn’t released a song that too many people have heard from this project. He’s gotta eat so I’m not against him asking for a little paper but this move is going to lose listeners.
They should offer it up as pay what you want. I fucks with the music, but he hasn’t reached the point where I’m willing to shell out cash for a non-official product. Part of the purchase is reading real reviews and seeing what other people think about the product. Mixtapes are rarely subject to that kind of scrutiny, especially negative scrutiny.
That jacket is ridiculous. No Gucci.

I’m a big fan of Nipsey so I’m not mad at him trying to make some cash off of this. As Gotty said, mixtapes are basically mini-albums anyway.
I’ve been waiting on this tape for awhile, so hopefully it doesn’t disappoint (and I doubt it will). He’s one of the new artists who has the potential to become a star.

The man got into music to make bread. Asking for $10 shouldn’t be that much of a financial burden on anyone. Not saying I’m buying but I’ve bought mixtapes & albums both just so I can say “hey man, I bought your record”. In this day, that’s a lot.
