Word on the streets is New York’s real-life Mr. Mag…nah can’t do it.
Where was I?
Oh yeah, their governor David Paterson just might actually pardon Plaxico Burress for being a real-life Cheddar Bob. (O.K., that one went over well).
Now who would most likely oppose this move? Surely people who despise the notion that celebrities and those with sizeable bank accounts don’t deserve a break like the next man, and New York Jets fans. But seeing that those particular mindsets are peppered throughout our government, it may not prove to be healthy for Paterson’s future as NY’s executive official.
But here’s the kicker: President Obama might have room for more like-skinned minded individuals in his administration and there’s inklings that Paterson may make that move. So pardoning Plaxico wouldn’t affect him one bit. Just look at George Bush. He took a piss on the White House lawn and pardoned John Forte because he was a closet fan of The Score.
I have yet to see Mayor Bloomberg go into a tizzy over the club allowing weapons for particular patrons nor other gun laws, so why try to avoid a slap on the wrist by cutting the man’s hand off? It is one thing to make an example out of somebody. But turning it into a personal vendetta is another quandary in itself.
Plaxico Pardoning Speculation Not As Ridiculous As It Seems [The Sporting Blog]

” closet fan of The Score”…. I second that notion
or maybe G. Buggy thought the move cause Lauryn to become amped and get back to bizness.
oh shiiiiiiiit…so he’ll be able to play right away right? and the Giants released him right???
Ravens need to get his agent on the phone ASAP!
They should let that nigga just pay a fine and get over it. If they want to make an example out of someone why not finally lock up some of these cops that are always shooting civilians and get off without a slap on the wrist. Shit is fucked up.
Plaxico was dumb to do that even dumber to be strapped without a license. He could’ve hurt somebody (well technically he did.) IMO a couple of months in jail + probation for a couple of years would’ve fit the crime better. Then again I don’t make the rules.
Where was Bloomberg when the Sean Bell fiasco went down? Yeah, exactly. Sure It was a totally different matter but the cops killed someone and got away SCOTT-FREE.
If I learned anything from cases like these it’s that I’m on my BEST behavior whenever i’m in NY at night.
im sure even if he is pardoned and picked up by a franchise, goodell is going to make him sit out at least a couple weeks.
I’m dying from the “real life Cheddar Bob thing.” An easy one but a good one, TC.
Fuck that nigga! He is dead to me. After fuckin up our season last year….
But that is neither here nor there. I do not think that Governer Paterson should pardon him. Let him go to jail, I mean he already hired his consultant. Lol. FOH!!!!!
“real-life Cheddar Bob”…….. hilarious
but didn’t get that “Mr. Mag….” reference??
Goodell actually said that had Burress not been sentenced to jail time that he would’ve been suspended for 1 full season without pay.
Personally I think charges should be brought against mayor Bloomberg and the DA’s office for overzealous prosecution and jury tampering.

I’m pretty sure there are a ton more people in NYC jails that deserve pardon over Plax.
the gov knows he is 1 term and done; he might as well pardon Plax. Black you are right about Doomberg; he convicted Plax in the media.
Mr Mag.. = Mr Magoo
As a NYC resident my view is to let Plax sit in jail for a few months. Then pardon him. That way.. he does jail time but not as much as the law as erroneously applied for in this case. The question is.. how long does Gov. Patterson have left on his term? If he could wait it out until the Super bowl was done.. that would suffice.
Goodell will then have an entire off-season to make Plax sweat on where he can sign before levying an appropriate suspension.
If looked at it from the onset and you were told Plax would be back after a season and a half.
My view is.. if he is out for a full 2 years .. his career is shot (see what i did there?) but missing a season plus having an entire off season to get back. He might comeback better than before.
Thats not gonna happen as nice as that would be…
Very nice articles. I’ve discovered your website by Aol and I’m actually glad in regards to the information you’ve got inside your post. By the best way your blogs design is kind of damaged with the Chrome net browser. Will be really nice when you’re can repair that. Anyway keep within the great function!
