Word on the streets is New York’s real-life Mr. Mag…nah can’t do it.

Where was I?

Oh yeah, their governor David Paterson just might actually pardon Plaxico Burress for being a real-life Cheddar Bob. (O.K., that one went over well).

Now who would most likely oppose this move? Surely people who despise the notion that celebrities and those with sizeable bank accounts don’t deserve a break like the next man, and New York Jets fans. But seeing that those particular mindsets are peppered throughout our government, it may not prove to be healthy for Paterson’s future as NY’s executive official.

But here’s the kicker: President Obama might have room for more like-skinned minded individuals in his administration and there’s inklings that Paterson may make that move. So pardoning Plaxico wouldn’t affect him one bit. Just look at George Bush. He took a piss on the White House lawn and pardoned John Forte because he was a closet fan of The Score.

I have yet to see Mayor Bloomberg go into a tizzy over the club allowing weapons for particular patrons nor other gun laws, so why try to avoid a slap on the wrist by cutting the man’s hand off? It is one thing to make an example out of somebody. But turning it into a personal vendetta is another quandary in itself.
