In case you’ve sidestepped the commercials, viral attack or posters at Taco Bell, the MTV Music Awards are creepin’ on ah come up.

Yeah, I know, big whoop, right?

Well, despite the typically awkward interludes and abundance of Orbit commercials, this year will feature a few points of interest for followers of this here site. Not only will Kanye and Eminem go mano e mano in four of the major categories for their respective singles (“We Made You” & “Love Lockdown”), but a few of our favorite frosh have been thrown into the pot for Best New Artist.

I’ve got high hopes for a certain MC, but come September 13, Asher, Drake and Cudi Da Kid will more than likely all find themselves losing to the woman in the white wig, Lady Gaga.

Or, will I stand corrected?
