I swear, Juvenile is the Jeff Bridges of rap.
When it comes to his craft, he’s better than most. He has legitimate hits, along with longevity because of those hits. Then, post-promo, whoadie disappears back to the block for three years, only to take the easy route back in.
I don’t know if I’d go as far to call Juvenile’s new single Iron Man, or even Tron, but it should work it’s way into rotation. Heavily-layered synths, courtesy of Baton Rouge producer Tic-Toc. Drawn-out southern drawl. ‘Soldier’ being used to reference women. Pleasure P. Basically, everything your little sister would love.
Now, if we could just get a meaningful follow-up (ala “Get Ya Hustle On”), I might be interested.
