Spike Lee’s When The Levees Broke was on HBO over the weekend and it just didn’t click. Since I’d never seen it, I played it when I got off work Saturday and the dates finally registered. Saturday marked the fourth anniversary of the tragic natural disaster. While the storm itself was disastrous, the events that transpired afterwords will live in infamy. It’s easy to bash to Government for all their shortcomings, but we should also remember how many people banded together from across the country (& world) to lend aid to those affected.
R.I.P. to those lost and continued prayers to those still working to get their lives and city back in order.

That was a long ass documentary. But it good and moving. Spike FTW.
^ co-sign.
On another note, and since you (kinda) made this a Jay-Z post as well….
Props to all producers who took part in Blueprint 3 EXCEPT Timothy “Rockport” Mosely. Dude you suck in comparison to all of the other production teams involved. Ya’ll owe Jigga his money back.
Danja…. if you’re out there and reading this comment, please save the homey. He just let me down this time around.
*SMH*
D.H., you said it correct. Danja was doing his beats for the last 3 years. Danja go his own gig now, so Timbo lost his ghost/assistant producer.
Hey don’t bring Rockport into this Douglas that’s way below the belt fella.
Rockport XCS make some of the finest t-shirts and footwear known to humanity.
I wear a pair of Rockstorm’s at the office, but sheesh, who’s checking for a label during 9 to 5.
But anyway I think Mosley is saving his best beats for the next Justin Timbalake album.
Never seen the documentary all the way through, they showed it on two parts when they aired it round these parts.
!!!! WARNING OFFTOPIC!! [but dope!!]
wanted to share this with you all

Pretty odd though that for such a momentous release like BP3, Mosley would serve up such subpar beats, but oh well.
BTW, anybody know where Dug Infinite is at these days? Thought fella would be getting major shine by now, so under rated!
When The Levees Broke is so good, I sat and watched the whole thing and didn’t even realize 4 hours had gone by.
“trouble the water” will show you just how bad a bitch katrina was. “when the levees broke” is the same shit the media portrayed.
timbo’s beats on BP3 was more picked for the homogeneity of the whole album than crazysongs/clubbangerz/raphits… even if “off that” was probably for that thang, but in fact, it’s the weakest beat.. i mean from Timbaland it was a too timbalandesque instrumental to be the real ish !

greumsy grammar > Molière !
Holla
Is there a soundtrack for When The Levees Broke? Terence Blanchard straight kilt it! I need it!
