   I can’t believ the hate Saigon got a few posts down. It’s crazy how cats put so much value on everything but the music.

   I can’t say Saigon has released one wack track yet. Dude spits real shit but cats are too caught up in the bullshit to hear the message.

   This is why Hip Hop back in the day > Hip Hop presently.

   Cause Hip Hop fans back then were > then the mindless drones that listen to the music today.

   Dude put out one of the best singles of 08 (IMO) “Gotta Believe It” and it got largely overlooked, but cats were hella interested when he was beefing with Budden over some bullshit.

   I blame the fans cause the average cat doesnt want music that promotes thought. The fans today are so vapid.

   Illmatic would be ignored if it was released today.

   Goes both ways (pause on that) though. If Saigon had only put out some twelves here and there, a couple mixtapes, the guest spot, and an “official mixtape” over 4-5 years then fans would be clamoring for more. That “Aye” joint would be a revelation, on some “well it’s not his best work, but at least we have something new.” I will hold out judgment until we actually (hopefully) get a true full length effort. Until then everything else is just appetizers from the salad bar (you don’t want it, stop going up) the lady is still going to bring that steak you ordered.

   We have a sweet red bone Cooler Chick and they are debating on Saigon(e)’s career.

   Amp most of the blame for Saigon’s problems were self inflicted. Saigon went around telling people his debut album was going to rival Illmatic; that album hasn’t seen the light of day. All the time he was on the net talking about 1 phone call I can get 20 Just Blaze beats; he needed to get Just Blaze’s humility. It’s one thing to be a braggart and back it up; but when all you do is talk and have nothing to show for it. You end up playing yourself.
